I need your help!! I have been given an opportunity to attend the premier conference for public policy and business in the state of Michigan, the Detroit Regional Chamber's (DRC) 2013 Mackinac Policy Conference (MPC) as an Emerging Leader!! I was awarded a scholarship of $2075 by the DRC, however I am working to raise the additional $500 for the conference.
Attending this conference will help me professionally forward my career, as well as academically. Currently, I am working on my second Master's degree in Public Affairs and Administration with Western Michigan University, the focus of my program is State Agency Administration. As apart of my program I am working in Legislative Services with the Michigan Department of Community Health's Department of Government Affairs, as well as teaching at Lansing Community College in the Business and Economics Department. I will graduate from my program Spring/Summer 2014, and will then pursue my PhD in Public Administration in Fall of 2014.
Please help me be apart of the action in Mackinac, where I can lend my ideas and voice to the conversations that will influence policy in the state of Michigan!

What is an Emerging Leader? A forward-thinking change agent progressing in his or her career. An individual who clearly demonstrates future promise in leading business or community initiatives. Emerging leaders welcome change, view challenges as opportunities and continue to influence everything they approach with fresh ideas and innovative thinking. The emerging leaders experience will be integrated with the core Conference sessions and networking activities.
