Please help us get back up

For the last 14 years my husband and myself have been putting away money to take our children on a lovely little holiday. I was excited for them, because we have never been on holidays before and the last one I went on myself, was 24 years ago when I was a child myself.

We had raised a thousand dollars, which may not seem like much to many people, but it was a fortune to us and our little family. Then, it all went sour. My husband got upset when two of our children were diagnosed with Autism.

He got angry and said it was all my fault, that I wasn't raising them right. They needed more discipline, they needed to be spanked and hard. The day came at last when I could no longer take his abuse, I sent him packing both for my sake and the children.

He took all our savings with him and the courts say we can not make him return it, because we are married and so our funds are joint. It broke my heart, I was looking forward to a lovely holiday. My children were too.

If you can help us get back up from this fall, we would be eternally thankful. It has become a day to day struggle, now we only have my small income to live on. Saving for a holiday will take a very long time, but I will do it. With your help, we can do it much faster.

I don't want a luxury cruise or a huge disneyland experience. Just something we can enjoy, like the beach or a little camping trip. I am not asking for thousands of dollars, just enough to go somewhere nice and enjoy life for a few days.
