Feed a Village in Palestine is just under a year old. It was born when Elaine was stopping with a family in a Palestinian village. Every morning she enjoyed fresh goats cheese, milk and yoghurt. Olives came from the host's trees and fresh figs were offered. She realised that if families had sheep or goats and fruit trees, they would have the means to feed themselves and hopefully make some money too, therefore Feed A Village was born. Lisa and Elaine went over last Christmas and visited many villages deciding who and where should receive trees or animals. Whilst there, they delivered food parcels for Christmas to families in need, delivered goats and sheep to people in 3 different villages and planted hundreds of trees. They also visited the Children's hospital in Bethlehem at Christmas and took all the children there presents. Helping them were Willy and Woolly who you can see in some of the photographs. This pair managed to have their picture taken with all the mayors and town council members we met, and a few of the recipients of the goods.

This year we have a new member, Sheepsy, who will hopefully help us to deliver more livestock to families in need, help us plant more trees and give out more food parcels.

100% of the money we receive will be spent on the project, on the ground out in the West Bank therefore helping the local economy too.

This year we are hopefully having volunteers come with us to help with the project and see for themselves how the occupation has affected the Palestinian people.

Olive and Fig trees cost £10

Food parcels (a months supply of essentials such as sugar, flour, rice, oil etc with a few treats thrown in) £30

Sheep and goats anything between £250-£350 each. (last year we bought pregnant ones or ones with kids)

Literally every £ counts, so if you can only afford a pound, then please give a pound. It will all help the grand total. We hope to raise more then £2000 on here to take with us, but would rather far exceed a total on here, then underachieve.

Please have a look at our Facebook page and Website.

Many thanks for taking the time to read and for donating.

Lots of love from Lisa, Elaine, Willy, Wooly and Sheepsy. xx

A food parcel to a family in need in Palestine. Last year we delivered 30 food parcels with approx. 1 months worth of food in to families on Christmas eve. Included in the parcels were essentials like flour, sugar, oil, rice etc and we also added some 'treats' like cake too (as it was Christmas) Be assured by donating £30, that a family will receive food this Christmas.

a sheep or goat to a family in need in Palestine. If a family have a sheep or goat, they can get milk from it...from the milk, they can make butter, cheese and yogurt, allowing them to eat, but potentially they could sell produce to others, therefore getting a little income. All goat and sheep we bought last year were either pregnant or had just had young. We plan to do the same this year when choosing the animals for families.

Elaine and I had always planned that we were going to return with this project, with people. We wanted others to see and experiance what we had, and to help out on the project. We also wanted them to come home and share the stories of the families we met. . . . .
