Hi folks,

Firstly, a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has donated thus far! I've been so encouraged to see everyone's willingness to help during such a tough time for my folks.

Secondly, I just wanted to keep you posted as to the latest on my plans to send my parents off on holiday for a while. I initially had a gracious offer from a dear friend in Germany to use a holiday property they had in the Black Forest in Germany, however I officially heard this morning that due to some legal wrangling, that option is not closed. 

That being said, another opportunity opened up this evening for which I am incredibly thankful. One of my dad's friends in Ghana heard about this fundraiser and gave me a call, offering to match any donations to cover two flights to Ghana this August. Having made some calls, he was able to find tickets for £798/person (which isn't bad if you know anything about travelling to Ghana in the middle of the summer season!) 

I think it would be great for them to get as far from home as they can for a while and so I've amended the tracker in the hopes that we'll be able to raise the money for their flights. Really thankful to everyone who has donated thus far - hopefully we can make it happen together!
