Although I've hinted at this during one of last week's Zoomcasts and have given an announcement over the air on yesterday's broadcast on Mixlr, I wanted to make it official in writing today. Effectively immediately, the proposed book tour, signings and related events with regard to "The Book of Obsidian: A Manual for the 21st Black American Gentleman" are hereby postponed until further notice. The fundraising campaign for "The Book of Obsidian" will continue however and I am happy to say that it is coming along; a major concern of mine and why the proposed budget was relatively high was because of my concerns about finding and securing venues in the cities where the book tour would take place. However, since my securing a base of operations here in Philly last month, and that being a gateway to securing venues in the cities cited on the book tour, the proposed costs have fallen substantially. Moreover and as noted above, the fundraising to bring "The Book of Obsidian" has crossed a major hurdle, which is the fees for editing the work. Now, all that remains is raising the money to have the book formatted for both print and ebook and produced, along with the creation of my own website, from which I will market the audiobook version of "The Book of Obsidian". So, by all means, please feel free to contribute early and often! Details on how you can do so will follow below.
