SBX Junior World Championships Cancelled due to Corona Virus

Update posted by Stacy Gaskill

Sadly we got word yesterday that the Snowboard Junior World Championships (JWC) to be held in France 3/23-25/2020 has been officially cancelled due to the rapidly spreading corona virus. I was counting on that event to up my World Cup standings as I was the 3rd highest World Cup competitor to attend the event. Sadly this is my last year to compete in the SBX Junior Worlds since I will be 21 next year. (and I was unable to compete in the 2020 Junior Olympics because I was too old.)

Last year I missed the 2019 JWC due to my untimely shattered wrist at the SBX World Cup in early March, and the 2018 Junior Worlds in New Zealand due to competing at the U20 Ultimate Frisbee Junior World Championships which were being held at the same time in Canada. (It was a tough decision, but I would age out of the U20 Ultimate after that year, and I thought I had 2 more years of SBX Junior Worlds.) Sadly things don't always work out due to events beyond your control. I guess that's a lesson on Life...
