#SaveTheBoskruinBunnies Part 1 - Sunday 28 July 2019

Update posted by Belinda Wessels

This Sunday, 28 July 2019, we will launch operation #SaveTheBoskruinBunnies which will see us going in to rescue the first lot of bunnies from Boskruin. With a colony of well over 400 rabbits this is no small feat and we need your help!

Catching is a big effort and we therefore need a strong team of volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please contact Jenny on 073 243 8161.

The colony is not safe as bunnies are run over by cars daily, they are caught for food for humans, humans allow their pets to hunt them, there is no disease control and there is very limited food in their area.

We are in desperate need of food (pellets, hay and greens), foster and permanent homes, as well as funds for sterilisations. Each sterilisation costs R450 and is a critical part of the rescue. Please consider making a donation to our campaign or you can make a direct donation to Bromhof Veterinary Clinic, Standard Bank, Acc 402494377, Branch 001106 using reference #Strawberry Foundation.

#SaveTheBoskruinBunnies is a cooperation between The Strawberry Foundation and the Randburg SPCA.
