Estamos na reta final para o fechamento do financiamento coletivo do projeto Eskawata Kayawai, nosso filme longa-metragem e sub-projetos que nasceram nesses três anos de trabalho com os Huni Kuin do rio Humaitá.

We have a message from Oona Chaplin the executive producer of our film, and Ninawa Pai da Mata the spiritual leader and chief from the Novo Futuro village.
We are still gathering funds for the Eskawatã Kayawai film project and the side projects that raised from the last 3 years working among the Huni Kuin from the Humaitá river. This is the last call, contribute if you can, spread the word.

Durante os 3 anos de vivência com o povo Huni Kuin, nasce o documentário na aldeia Novo Futuro, durante o III encontro do Festival Eskawata Kayawai, com o objetivo de ser uma ferramenta do povo para o mundo, levando sua mensagem adiante. Em coordenação com as lideranças da aldeia Novo Futuro, Ninawa Pai da Mata e com o produtor do festival Vinicius Romão, a partir da oportunidade de englobar mais aldeias no filme, o projeto cresce e com a premissa de contar a história da volta a tradição no rio Humaitá.
Em nossa última viagem durante o mês de Maio em 2019 no rio Humaitá, nossa equipe visitou também as aldeias Dua Kaya, Boa Vista, Boa Sorte, São José e Vigilante que concordaram em participar do filme, registrando sua aldeia e a sua parte da história do povo que vive no rio. Montando uma linha narrativa de espiritiualidade, cultura e resistência nessa área e abrindo espaço para todos as comunidades participarem dessa reconstrução e expansão da história dessa região.

During the 3 years of living with the Huni Kuin people, the documentary was born in the village Novo Futuro, during the III meeting of the Eskawata Kayawai Festival, aiming to be a tool of the people for the world, carrying its message forward. In coordination with the leaders of the Novo Futuro village, Ninawa Pai da Mata and the producer of the festival Vinicius Romão, from the opportunity to include more villages in the film, the project grows and with the premise of telling the story of the return to tradition in the Humaitá river.
On our last trip for the month of May 2019 on the Humaitá River, our team also visited the villages of Dua Kaya, Boa Vista, Boa Sorte, São José and Vigilante, who agreed to participate in the film, recording their village and their part of the history of the people who live in the river. Mounting a narrative line of spirituality, culture and resistance in this area, while opening space for all communities to participate in this reconstruction and expansion of the history of this region

O projeto então se concretizará em um filme documental de 60 minutos, trazendo entrevistas com diferentes líderanças, pajeres, txanas, artesãos e artesãs e moradores das aldeias no Rio Humaitá, falando sobre a retomada da cultura ancestral na região. Registrando assim um recorte sobre o povo verdadeiro, sua cultura, costumes, história e espiritualidade, abrangendo reconhecimento a nível interno nas terras indígenas Huni Kuin, nacional e internacional, sobre a cultura do seu povo e a importância do indígena no Brasil como um todo, com foco na retomada de sua cultura e terras, inspirando outras etnias e não-indígenas a buscarem também suas raízes e ancestralidade, reconectando-se com à mãe terra, relembrando o equilíbrio da harmonia e da união com o grande espírito e a natureza.

The project will then take the form of a 60-minute documentary film, bringing interviews with different leaderships, pajeres, txanas, artisans and artisans and villagers in the Humaitá River, talking about the resumption of ancestral culture in the region. Quanto a continuação do projeto e que continuamos buscamos arrecadar, será para realizar mais duas viagens ao Rio Humaitá, uma para pré-exibição na Aldeia Novo Futuro durante o festival e outra viagem para a exibição nas outras aldeias do filme finalizado, ao mesmo tempo que colhendo material para a realização de um portal do Rio Humaitá que concentre as informações de cada aldeia e suas atividades, bem como localização via drone, cantorias e trabalho de artesanato feminino. Além disso temos planos para fazer outros projetos, como o portal do Rio Humaitá, concentrando informações e notícias de todas as aldeias do rio, trazendo visibilidade e possibiliade de interação com mais facilidade; Também temos projeto secundário da produção musical na aldeia Novo Futuro que é extraordinária e extremamente criativa, fazendo gravações de áudio e vídeo, capacitando os indígenas a gravar suas criações e compartilhar com o mundo.

As for the continuation of the project and the extra value that we seek to raise, it will be to make two more trips to Rio Humaitá, one for pre-exhibition at Aldeia Novo Futuro during the festival and another trip for the exhibition in the other villages of the finished film, at the same time time that harvesting material for the accomplishment of a portal of the Humaitá River that concentrates the information of each village and its activities, as well as location via drone, cantorias and work of feminine craftsmanship. In addition, we have plans to make secondary projects in the indigenous land, as for a plataform of the villages from the Humaitá river that concentrate news and informations that brings visibility and possibility of integration and communication; We also have a next projetct of musical production in the Novo Futuro village that is extraordinary and extremely creative, making audio and video recordings, enabling indigenous people to record their creations and share with the world. So we are seeking for further funds, partners and sponsors to delevop our furhter projects.

O filme terá sua pré-estreia na 5ª edição do festival Eskawatã Kayawai contemplando todos e todas que foram filmados e que ajudaram o projeto a ser realizado. O filme será enviado para exibições de cinema ao redor do mundo e posteriormente buscamos entrar no catálogo da Netflix, conscientizando o planeta sobre a causa a nível nacional e internacional. Dando voz e força ao povo Huni Kuin e também à floresta, trazendo a importância urgente de sua proteção, correto manejo e respeito.
Será distribuida uma cópia do filme para cada aldeia da terra indígena do Rio Humaitá até o final de 2020 para exibições em escolas, centros culturais e reuniões.

The film will premiere at the 5th edition of the Eskawatã Kayawai festival, featuring all of the films that were filmed and which helped the project to be carried out.The film will be sent to film shows around the world and later on we hope to add the film to Netflix catalogue, raising awareness of the cause on a national and international level. Giving voice and strength to the Huni Kuin people and also to the forest, bringing the urgent importance of their protection, correct management and respect.A copy of the film will be distributed to each village on the indigenous land of Rio Humaitá by the end of 2020 for exhibitions at schools, cultural centers and meetings.
