Wow you guys have already helped Elise so much! I am so proud of everyone rallying around Elise, and helping her reach her goal! Here is a note from the poet herself:

I would like to thank everyone who came to support me and help make this event a success. We managed to raise $316 thanks to your generosity.

Unfortunately I was in a situation this month where I had to deal with student loans putting my account in overdraft, as there was no reminder that my repayment assistance plan had expired. I'm in the process of straightening this out, but in the meantime ended up having to put the lions share of the $316 towards making up for being short on rent so I have a home to go back to. I want to be as transparent about this with everyone as possible.

However, thanks to everyone I have still managed to raise 1255 via crowdfunding and have enough to cover tuition for the program. Any additional help is appreciated so I can meet my goals, be it donations or shares. In the meantime I will be working like a dickens to get together whatever I can.

I have something in the works this weekend that I cannot wait to share with all of you as a gift for your continued support. Thank you again to everyone for your love and support.
