Why 1000 Euros?

Update posted by Sara Bogsan Nogueira

Hi everyone!

I imagine a lot of you as asking yourselves WHY so MUCH? 1,000 Euros is probably a little too much in some of your opinions, and I get that.

I'd like to explain here, because I thought you would like to know exactly WHAT you are donating for. At first I figured I would get whatever I could afford with what I got for donations, but I realised, that wasn't a very effective goal.

I went to my local tech store and chose one that would fit my needs and thought I would share that goal with you. I found a Lenovo Ideapad Yoga, it's 13,3 inches, weights 1,600 g. a little heavier than I would like, but the ones that are lighter, battery life only lasts about 4 hours or so and cost even more, while this one lasts 7 hours. Reminding you that I went into the local store and picked out from what they had on their display because that's where I will be going to buy my notebook.

It costs 697 Euros, then I will use the remaining money to buy, a sleeve, a strong waterproof backpack and anything small like a mouse or similar. Around 10% is removed from the total value for taxes and fees, so I don't technically have more than 300 Euros left over, it's actually more like under 200.

If you still have any questions feel free to contact me.

This has been something hard that I have had to do, it isn't an easy thing to do, to ask for help, but I'm grateful for technology and having a wonderful way to reach out!

Have a blessed day everyone!
