Four Wheels, One Life Project

Wheelchairs are as important to our differently-abled friends as legs are as important to normal people like us. Without it, they're limited to what they can only do on their beds. Perhaps, imagining how they'll be able to live their lives to the fullest. These wheelchairs are costly but with every kind heart's contribution, we can buy as many as we can for the children. Just as they say, one person can make a difference, but a group can change lives.

This Christmas, we want only the best for the kids of Cottolengo Filipino Inc. That's why Davines Philippines, together with Davines Creative Style Academy Batch 2016, is organizing this donation drive to raise funds for wheelchairs that will be given to the foundation.

Cottolengo Filipino, Inc. is a non-profit religious and non-government organization owned and managed by the Sons of Divine Providence Congregation. This foundation is licensed and accredited by Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and aims to serve the most poor, abandoned, neglected, and surrendered children with disabilities. It houses differently-abled boys, who, despite their disabilities, manage to make volunteers smile through their funny antics and happy ways of life.

Our Davines Creative Style Academy Graduates of 2016 have been visiting this foundation in Montalban, Rizal since last year, making children happy with fun activities, various donations, and one thing they all love, free haircuts! It has been the group's mission to use their God-given talents in paying it forward by giving awesome haircuts to special children of this orphanage. And with Christmas season fast approaching, we want to make this year's outreach bigger and of course, the children happier. So along with the efforts of our Davines Creative Style Academy graduates, we are having a donation drive for those kind hearts who are willing to share their blessings. Here is a rundown of what the kids need:

* T-Shirts
* Diapers
* Food
* Books
* OldToys

Donations in kind can be dropped off to 7H Sheridan Street, Mandaluyong City, while for those who want to donate through Paypal or Credit/Debit Card, please do so through this GoGetFunding campaign. Cash donations will be greatly appreciated since we're raising money to buy special wheelchairs for children with cerebral palsy, polio, and other rare disabilities.
