Medical expenses for Sofia

Our dear friend Sofia, is in dire need of our support to cope with the large medical expenses to deal with severe and chronic health issues that she is facing, rendering her unable to work during these last three years that she is fighting for her life. We, her family and friends, support her as much as we can, but our strength and capabilities grow very thin. She is currently living on a rent with her brother on two small state allowances, him also being unemployed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sophia studied conomics and she worked as an accountant. Throughout these long years she was fighting for her health.

Four years ago she completed the first part of her training in Hatha Yoga obtaining her diploma, but she was unable to continue. She is vegan but to her deep sorrow, in the last two years she is forced due to make some steps back from this path. Her health problems start from her childhood and the intestines.

Seven years ago, the situation got even worse. She found out that her “enemy” and the main cause of her health problems was something called chronic systematic candidiasis at level 4. Many doctors/specialists fail to help, or won’t even undertake her treatment. The infection has caused by now unbearable IBS and SIBO syndromes, hormonal disorders and menopause at the age of 42, thyroid problems, iron deficiency anemia, leucopenia, pyelonephritis, melanosis of the walls of the large intestine, Sebaceous Kidney Filtration, substantial vitamin and micronutrients deficiency and severe food allergies and intolerances that make all therapeutical approaches very difficult. Her immune system reached a critical stage, she weighted only 35 kilos and was fighting for her life day by day.

The cost for detox cure and body rehabilitation is surpassing 400€ per month. She is continuing her quest visiting gastroenterologists, infectious disease specialists, trying to find out a solution to her problems. If we can gather enough money, she could visit a specialized clinic abroad, where she can find the treatment to be cured.

Sophia has been a fighter throughout her life. She dreams of a lot of nice things, as long as she can prevail through this fight. Let’s help, all of us that can, whichever way any of us can!
