We are Lily’s friends who want to help her to be whole again with a roof over her head. Our goal is to raise money towards construction of permanent house and buying of permanent medical insurance policy. Lilys house was washed away by floods. The lady has just lost her Job after her employer declared her redundancy due to economic melt down brought about by Covid 19. Further she has had numerous medical issues that have consumed all her savings for the year she have worked after her husband abandoned them because of medical issue. She has two school going children who will need school fees once school reopen. Lily in her strong her life is used to helping women through recovery from abortion and abuse. We hope you will help her to move on to the next stage of her life. Thank you for your prayers and generosity. Lily, a registered nurse for almost 40 years, has worked as a community Health Counselor, Psychiatric Nurse, and Pastoral Counselor. She also volunteers at her local community, performing basic ante natal care on women, so they may see the truth about the life within them. She also counsels victims of all forms of abuse. She has even used her home as a safe-house for domestic violence victims. She received a BA in Ministry for Counseling in Christian Ministries from Nazarene Bible College.

In 2014 August, Lily Auma was an active 50-year old who had a lucrative position as a nurse manager. In June of that year, she had a bad fall at home, damaging her left hip. As a nurse, she knew she had done something serious--besides the pain she was experiencing, she noticed her left leg was no longer able to support her weight.

She made an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon, who diagnosed it as bursitis. After cortisone shots, physical therapy, epidurals and two back surgeries in a 6-month period—neither of which was successful, she was getting much worse but still strong to come to work . and the worst come in February 2020 when she was declared redundancy. MRI had revealed torn muscles, however too much time had passed, and the muscles were atrophied. The torn muscles weren’t supporting the hip, and now the hip joint was going bad and she also discovered most doctors did not want to operate because she had gained weight during this time due to forced inactivity.

She was forced to sell her town home and move to country side home. She had few choices because her only income was $1000/month. Her one-year plan was to settle at country side house, lose the weight needed for the surgery, find a surgeon who would do the surgery, if successful and go back to work, and be able to purchase a home that she could then retire in.

She met her goals and found a doctor, lost weight by doing painful water exercises to get the weight off and had an anterior hip replacement in November 2019. She should have walked out of the hospital 48 hours later. Instead, something went very wrong during the surgery, and her left leg was left paralyzed. Instead of being able to follow her plan to return to work, she had to go to rehab and learn how to live with a paralyzed limb. Two weeks later, she developed an infection, and returned for another full surgery. Then a PICC line for IV antibiotics. She did not leave the hospital for 3 weeks;this exhausted all the money she got from sell of town house. arriving home a week before Christmas. Two days later, her father died.March 2020 her country side home was washed away with ravaging flood , currently she is putting up in the temporary make shift .she can not afford a rental house ,as it require a monthly rent in advance

Her plans to return to work have failed. The home she depended on is no more. She just learned that the owner of the land she has shanty wants to sell land and Lily has been told she needs to vacate by June 30. And all this in the middle of a pandemic. She is desperately in need of financial help, and to have an affordable home in within the next 45 days.
