Foreign Exchange Trip

     Hello.  My name is Jesse and I will be going to Herford Germany for a year as a foreign exchange student for a year.  I am in need of about $3,500 in order to cover the rest of my expenses, such as; airline tickets, my visa, health insurance for the year, as well as an emergency fund.  I am going to Germany through Rotary Youth Exchange.  The total cost will be about $7,000, but my parents have agreed to match whatever I save.  I hope to live and work in Germany after I have finished my education.  This exchange will allow me to become fluent in German and to make several contacts that can help me obtain a job.  Some current exchange students currently in the U.S. have told me that this year has been the best year of their lives, and that everyone should have the chance to do an exchange.

     I have taken two years of German so far and I hope that this trip will boost my level of speaking by several years.  This exchange will expand my views of the world, and my views of different cultures.
