Forced to quit uni at 18

Hi, I'm Zaina. This is a bit hard because l feel embarrassed as I had never imagined I'd make a fundraising account but tough situations call for tough measures.

Here's my story:

I began my studies in 2019 with pure excitement as I was finally beginning to pursuing my dreams. However, our financial situation became far worse than normal and intensified due to COVID-19 where we reached the climax and that caused me to quit my studies.

The school l went to promised me a higher scholarship but when l asked them for it, they simply said they don't offer. In addition, they did not reduce the tuition fees after the pandemic even though it was instructed by the ministry of education. The classes were scheduled online since March (more than half the year) but the heavy tuitions still remained the same. The uni also used to be one of the top in its sector but lost its place and value, yet they still did not cut on the fees. More than 10 students (that I know of) left the uni because of their unfair charges and regulations but they are all continuing their educations in a new school and have paid their tuitions. I have half of the full tuition remaining from last year and this year I'm not even going to uni because I have the previous years fees left to pay.

Also, the management are super careless. The finance manager pressured me (an 18 year old girl) about going to court. She spoke with such harsh tone that l was speechless and had a serious breakdown, not knowing what to do.I have sent them numerous emails asking for financial aids but thye don't give the slightest damn and want more money. The dean is the most helpless person there with lots of power but no action.

I have so many big dreams and ambitions, I am very motivated; I know I can achieve BIG things in life and reach all my goals. Once I get this huge stress of finance off my shoulders, I will be unstoppable.
