Caleb’s Crohns Disease Medical Fund

Update posted by David Smith On Apr 15, 2017

Hi everybody, sorry its been awhile since we came here to write an update about Caleb's condition.

Its almost 3 months from the time he first got admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with crohn's disease. From the last update, he had several visits to the hospitals emergency because of pain and he also went under a minor operation again because of his abscess is progressing fast and the surgeons have to check him again.

From his last visit from his gastroentologist his chicken pox vaccine came out negative so he have to be given the booster and we have to wait for another 6 weeks before the doctor can start him on his treatment, with that, his 8 weeks liquid/modulen diet is extended to another 4 weeks more and we are nearing the end of his liquid diet soon and re introducing food to him is another crucial part that we will be facing.

We have put all your kind donations to pay up his hospital bills, daily medicines and medical supplies, thank you so much again to all of you.

Caleb came a long way from the first day of diagnosis, he is still not able to eat normally, restricted from a lot of activities and he is still not able to attend school but when he's physically/emeotionally feeling better in a given day we bring him out for a walk in the beach for fresh air.

His next odctors appointment will be at the end of this month and we are hoping for the best. We will update here again soon.

Thank you so much.
