For the Sport of Love

Heya

As some of you may know I am taking part in a volunteering program in Cusco (Peru), running  sport sessions in a local school. The school caters for both primary and secondary students And Has a capacity of 1200 students. Now I want you to think Back to your school days and how much you enjoyed sport and how your school did everything in its capacity to provide the best education for you. Unfortunately the school that I am involved with has very limited and basic sports facilities. On my first day on the program i was greatly moved by witnessing kids playing hockey with broom sticks. Although they are resourcefull people, I beleive they should have access to adequate sports equipment, just like we did.

Sport is a big part of Peruvian culture and it's unfortunate to see kids with such love for sport being disadvantaged by resources and funding. So our aim in this campaign is to raise $500 which will go to purchasing new sports equipment such as footballs, basketballs, hockey sticks, football goals, bibs, cones, tennis balls, hoops, volleyballs and volleyball nets.

I know the solution to a problem is not always throwing money at it, but this will give the kids an opportunity to use adequate equipment, something they have never had the opportunity to do, and that's one thing we cannot look past.
