My dad is a hardworking office staff. He has always been wary of going to the doctor because it would mean additional expenses. So he went on working just applying band-aid solutions to health issues.

On Monday, April 5, he began feeling dizzy and vomiting, even the slightest movements like opening his eyes would induce nausea to the point where he cannot even sit down. He vomited everything he ate including the antacid medicine he was given because we thought it was hyperacidity.

He was finally brought to the hospital because we were afraid he might get dehydrated. Upon arrival, the doctors saw signs and ordered a ct scan. He also got tested for covid as is the protocol nowadays. Results showed he is covid positive and the scan showed a blood clot in his cerebellum.

The clot is small which should have been a good news except it is situated near a canal. If he exerts force the clot might slide down to the canal, may grow and cause hydrocephalus.

We have been able to cover the costs until last night when our hospital account got closed because his insurance has capped out and the amount we deposited was already consumed. We humbly ask for prayers and financial assistance to help us pay the hospital bills. The doctors said he should be transferred to the ICU so he can be monitored closely. That could cost us anywhere between 300k to 500k pesos. The course of Remdisivir which is the covid medication costs 50k pesos. Our family struggles to live paycheck after paycheck. Any help would be very much appreciated.
