help us save coco

in 2013 i gave birth to my youngest. his name is jacob. due to prematurity and some complications, he passed away after 19 days of confinement. stressed, mentally and emotionally in pain, we didnt know how to move on.

one day, a handsome and playful shih tzu was given to me. we named him coco. he would follow me wherever i go. he's so clingy. he became the "bunso" and he brought back the joy in our family. we love him so much.

2 weeks ago, i noticed that coco is having a hard time walking. in just a few days he can no longer stand up. we brought him to the vet. they took blood sample and said that maybe coco has a kidney problem. we were instructed to go back after 3 days for the blood test result. for the mean time he was given a vaccine and lots of oral medication. result was out and his kidneys are fine. they said it was ehrlichia. a week passed and he's not getting any better. he would no longer eat or drink. so we brought him to a different vet. they said it was distemper and he is on the critical stage already. we didnt know what distemper was so we did a little research. i refuse to believe that there is no cure for distemper. i dont want to lose my bunso for the 2nd time. we brought him to the vet who specialized in distemper cases, its like the "st. lukes hospital" for animals. he was confined. the vet said they gave all the medicine/vaccine he needs and just continue the medication at home. he got discharged yesterday but still very weak. it breaks my heart seeing him like this but i will do everything i can just so he will continue to live
