Health is one of the most valuable possession here on earth —but what happens when preserving it costs you a fortune?
Hi! I am Christy G. Jadraque, the eldest daughter of Merilyne G. Jadraque and Mauro L. Jadraque Jr.
I am here knocking at your hearts to support this medical campaign. This is to give medical assistance to my mother, Merilyne G. Jadraque, 51 years old, was diagnosed with Stage 3A Breast Cancer last March 08, 2017.
Last year, 9th of March 2017, she had a surgery and had to remove her left breast. At first, we thought that it was just a benign. But upon running some tests, unfortunately, it was a cancerous tumor and find some lymph nodes under her armpit. Her doctor in her breast surgery told us that she won’t undergo a chemotherapy and radiation therapy, and we trusted what he said.
20th of February 2018, I accompanied her to her OB-GYN, or obstetrician-gynecologist, since she also had a Myoma which needs to be checked up yearly and that she is suffering from a severe back pain. Her OB-GYN told us to see a Breast Specialist doctor since she cannot find the reason why my mother is suffering from a severe back pain.
On the same day, we went to that breast specialist doctor and told us that she will run more of laboratory tests (bone scan, mammogram, sonomammogram) to check if the right breast was not affected with cancer and reconsider medical procedures such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
We already consulted a medical oncologist and had her laboratory tests. She is positive to bone metastases which cancer cells already spread out to her bones. She will undergo a Radiation Therapy and Chemotherapy and a monthly Zoledronic Acid for infusion which costs 14,000-20,000Php which is used to rehabilitate the affected bone and avoiding the total damage of the bones that are affected by cancer. The treatments and medical bills and maintenance will cost more or less 350,000Php(Philippine Peso) upon her doctor's quotation.
Our friends and family have generously and unselfishly extended their support and prayers which gives us source of inspiration to be strong in this very difficult time. Unexpected miracles have been revealed by the reappearance of long-lost friends offering their assistance willingly.
But circumstances impels me due to her medical bills and medical maintenance have escalated depleting our family's resources. Having this medical campaign is the only solution I find that somehow will mitigate our family’s in dire need financially. We don't want to give up on her.
We love our mother so dearly that we don't want to stay still and do nothing for her health.
Hoping you will open up your hearts and hear to our family's plea to support to this medical campaign.
Thank you very much and may God bless you always!
