For my Mama

Yesterday, on May 2nd 2022, my mama, Flora Estrellita Ambatali Laguimun, passed away.

For days she has been complaining about chestpains and migraines, but whenever I tell her to go to the hospital, she would say, "Kaya ko pa naman (I can still manage)." It was only last weekend when she agreed to have an exam at the hospital when I told her I'd accompany her.

What was supposed to be regular checkup turned out to be a nightmare for my entire family. According to her doctors, she was taking ECG when her heart stopped. I asked the doctors to do everything they can and I signed all the documents they asked me to. They tried to perform a heart bypass, however, she was no longer responding.

Our bills skyrocketed to more than 400K after HMO and Philhealth deductions. Back in Feb 2022, she already had a diabetes-related wound and tested positive for COVID which used most of my HMO and savings. The current hospital bills, along with the preparation of burial and funeral expenses are far too much for our pooled savings. Any amount that you can generously share will be greatly appreciated.
