This campaign is for Rich Angeles’ hospital bill and medication. We are in need of financial assistance. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Rich was rushed to the emergency department of Cardinal Medical due to seizure attacks. He had 3 episodes in an hour dated on 05/04/19. Repetitive lab tests and procedures (Lumbar Puncture and Repeat CT Scan) were done. He was diagnosed with Toxoplasmosis (disease that results from infection with the Toxoplasma gondii parasite, one of the world's most common parasites. Infection usually occurs by eating under-cooked contaminated meat, exposure from infected cat feces, or mother-to-child transmission during pregnancy) but curable. He had a history of an episode on 04/20/19, letting him undergo CT-Scan and MRI in St. Luke’s Medical Center. He was then referred to a Neurosurgeon and Pulmonologist because of the findings on his brain CT-Scan indicating a tumor on the lower part of his brain near the brainstem. The symptoms were asymptomatic so he was sent home. Since the recent episode Rich has been under medication, (Mannitol – to help shrink the tumor in the brain, Keppra – for epileptic attacks) and has been under observation till then .

April 20,2019 Saturday after our shift (around 7:30 in the morning), he had his first seizure attack when we were about to eat. It lasted for 3 to 5 minutes and he was rushed to St. Luke’s Medical Center – BGC, Taguig City. Dr Laxama (Neurologist – St. Luke’s), requested for multiple lab tests and procedures (Sputum Smear, PPD, Chest and Abdominal CT-Scan). A tumor was said to be found in his left part of the brain which may be the cause of his seizure attacks. He has also undergone MRI to know if the tumor was a sign for a stroke.

Dr. Laxama allowed Rich to be discharged and to do the other procedures as outpatient. May 3, 2019, he went back for a follow up check-up and was referred to a Neurosurgeon and Pulmonologist. But there were no available doctors during that time.

May 4,2019 Saturday, 3 in the morning, he was rushed to the hospital at Cardinal Santos Medical Center due to 3 seizure attacks which all occurred in an hour. He has undergone another CT-Scan to know what’s likely to cause his seizure attacks. We requested the initial CT-Scan result from St. Luke’s Medical Hospital where the tumor in his left part of the brain was originally identified to see if there were changes in the size of it.

Rich was transferred from ER to isolation room while waiting for Dr. Manlacan, a neurologist in Cardinal Santos Medical Center. He was admitted in the said hospital and was given medication. He was also transferred to a private room for isolation while waiting for lab and CT-Scan results. He was referred to Dr. Arreola (Infectious Doctor) to know the cause of his attacks. He has also undergone lumbar puncture done by Dr. Badillo (Anesthesiologist). He was then diagnosed with Toxoplasmosis.

His hospital bill is currently running at Php260,000.00 excluded of professional fees and medicines. His HMO can only cover Php10,000.00 and Php6,000.00 from PhilHealth. He’s still in the hospital due to lack of funds to be discharged.
