For My Girls

"When something beautiful is birthed through the ugliness of affliction!"

They say that giving birth is the worst pain imaginable but the moment you get to hold your baby for the first time; that excruciating pain is quickly forgotten and replaced by the overwhelming joy and reward of experiencing the miracle of life in your arms. In much the same way, "For My Girls" was birthed.

The For My Girls Foundation is a non-profit organization that was birthed from my vision to see every girl and every woman around me and beyond fulfill the purpose for which she was created and to do it fearlessly and courageously!

Our mission is to empower girls and women living in poverty to live the purpose for which they were created.

“There is a secret in our culture, and it’s not that birth is painful.It’s that women are strong.” ~ Laura Stavoe Harm - the sad thing is that most of us don't know our own strength. We don't know the worth of the

gifts and talents we were born with and that if our gifts and talents were nurtured from day 1; oh how different our world would be!

We need funds to cover running costs for the organization for 12 months as we go into the various communities in South Africa to equip girls and women with skills needed to change mindsets and perceptions that prevent them from stepping out and using what they have in their hand to be the change in their own world.

It was Nelson Mandela who said "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." - this is our legacy, this is why we exist; to educate people to fish for themselves, a permanent solution to get out of the cycle of poverty.
