For my father’s kidney disease treatment

My father has been diagnosed with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) last year. Since then, he has been surviving with the help of his prescribed medicines only which most of them are highly expensive.

He can’t walk and has been bedridden since the last 4 years due to damage cartilage from his arthritic knee. Since then, my mother left her job and is taking care of my father full time.

My father is a strong man. Despite his condition, he always won’t let us feel down or see him suffering and is trying hard to look well on the outside just to make us all feel happy with him.

But right now (July 7, 2019), my father got admitted to Mendero Hospital Pagadian City as he is really feeling weak and breathing heavily and his face is swollen.

Lab test result shows that his creatinine and BUN levels are high. The medicines he’s been taking are already not enough for him and was advised to conduct a dialysis session.

My father is still fighting for his life I believe because if he was already tired, he would have gone. But this all too soon to think that my father is still at the age of 51.

This is probably the hardest and the most painful thing that we ever faced as a family but we can't do anything but to show him that we love him and will never leave him until the end.
