Our courageous and tenacious Mama Pinky is a real fighter. She had been a Person With a Disability since 2004 after a stroke, but she never gave up on life. Her once busy work and home life turned 180 degrees, but it did not stop her and she still found ways to help our family as much as she can. Life was not easy, especially in 2020, when our father died, but she still pushed through.

In 2021, Mama suffered from a heart attack and we later found out that she also developed seizures. Over the past 3 years, her heart continued to deteriotate and we have been in and out of the hospital. Last January, we thought that our mother was only having typical cough and colds due to the colder weather until she experienced difficulty in breathing and had to be rushed to the hospital. Mama Pinky was diagnosed with pneumonia and edema, which was worsened by her pre-existing heart failure. Mama underwent a series of tests and the doctors found out that she also had suffered from an infection, which, unfortunately, is quite resistant to a number of antibiotics. They had to use a stronger and more expensive type of antibiotic to heal her.

We were able to go home on February 8, however, Mama had difficulty breathing again and we rushed her to the ER. Her cardiologist informed us that Mama's heart continues to deteriotate, it's now severely depressed and systolic. She said that Mama is in great need of Angiogram, Angioplasty, and Open Heart Surgery. Her doctor gave an estimation of 800,000-1Millin pesos. The procedure will also be done either in Iloilo or Philippine Heart Center.

From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to ask for your help with her operation and Mama still has a lot of maintenance medicine and requires oxygen for 24 hours. Please help us so she can still be with us, her children, her grandchildren, and her brothers and sisters.

We will be thankful for any amount of help you can extend to our Mama Pinky and we will pray that the Lord showers you with more blessings and return your help in a hundred folds.
