For Lovey’s Recovery

Lovey Mae has a known case of Diabetes Mellitus type 1 since 11 yrs old. She was brought to the hospital (June 4, 2019 due to dizziness and noted slurring of speech which progressed to loss of conciousness. She was intubated upon arrival to the Hospital (Marikina Valley)

She was later on brought to Philippine Heart Center for she was in urgent need to be admitted in an ICU. It was later found out that through an MRI that she suffered bilateral infarcts which affected her ability to move, even her wakefulness. She was in a state of coma for about 3 weeks. She was referred to the pulmonary service for weaning, there was noted prolonged intubation hence the patient underwent tracheostomy and peg tube insertion. On the following days she was given antibiotics for treatment of pneumonia. As treatment progresses she eas diagnosed with sepsis and was given additional medications.

Medications are still continously given, her sensorium now improving, the diagnosed infections are lessened and the pulmonary service is still working out on weaning.
