“Reposted from one of Father Bambi’s student”
We visited Sir Bambi (presently, Fr. Bambi, as he became a priest not long after we graduated from high school) yesterday and gained a better appreciation of his present condition and what he has undergone.
Apparently, had he not been brought to the hospital last December 10, he would’ve died that very day. He was at the ICU of Delos Santos Medical Center from December 10-20, and had an angioplasty on December 26. Currently, he requires dialysis. Complications arising from his heart condition led to the malfunctioning of his kidney, which in turn caused bloating in different parts of his body, including his brain.
Although he was conscious and in high spirits yesterday, our help is crucial in ensuring his full recovery. The total cost of his operations and hospital stay is already at P1.3 million and regrettably, Fr. Bambi does not have a health card. For those who wish to donate to help defray his medical expenses, you may make a deposit to Ms. Abigail Aguinaldo’s BPI account, with the following details:
BPI Savings Account 8069150803
Ms. Abigail Aguinaldo is Fr. Bambi’s only sibling. To help the family record the donations, you may email a photo of the deposit slips or checks to [email protected]
Hopefully, we can spread out the cost among at least 300 alumni so we can make a significant dent on Fr. Bambi’s total medical expenses. For those who would like to help us coordinate with the higher batches (SY 2004-2005, 2005-2006) please feel free to reach us through this email ([email protected]) or this mobile number (0977-453-8571). So far, Ian Cadeliña, Sam Reyes, and Ruby Manuel have expressed their willingness to contribute. Paolo Salvador and Aries Superable have also reached out to Sir Bambi’s family.
This Christmas season, as we celebrate the birth of our Lord, there is perhaps no greater gift we can offer Jesus than helping a former mentor and a faithful servant of His at this time of great need.
