Today, health is a basic human need, and a right too. Sick people have a right to access good and quality health care, but a common problem in therapy is uncontrolled administration of drugs. In most cases, after administration, concentration of drug in blood is too high that causes side effects, and later it is too low and it is not effective.
BLC pharmaceutica d.o.o. (Europe, Croatia, Zagreb) is a small start-up company. We developed novel technology, which will ensure controlled administration of drugs from formulation. We have granted patents in 90 countries, but we need money for finalization of our research and development. Our solution will ensure controlled administration of drugs from formulations which is important for most therapies. Based on our technology, existing formulations (tablets or capsules) will be prepared in different ways.
Parkinson’s disease is hard, chronic, expensive, long life and end of life disease. Patients need better therapy and better drug treatments. Our solution will ensure controlled concentration of drug (levodopa) in blood and it will ensure better drug treatment in the early stage of disease, better quality of life, saving of money for patients and lower costs for health insurances. It will improve the well-being of people with Parkinson’s disease (more than 7 million people in the world / 1,2 million people in Europe).
