For a dignified life

Hi,

My name's Rod, 33, Portuguese, living in Germany.

As many others I wish to live my life with dignity and I dream of owning my own house.

No individual should be faced with the possibility of not having the required necessities when they are laid-off from their jobs and their unemployment insurance has run out.

I'm still young, hard worker, and I haven't had an easy life, nonetheless I always believed that with perseverance, humility and enthusiasm it's possible to overcome the most difficult situations. Well, when life gives you lemons, you try to make lemonade, right?!

I'm about to be the father of a beautiful baby girl and my only wish is to be healthy and strong enough to provide and always be there for her, and to grant my daughter the security and comfort I never had: a home.

Never done something like this, but I believe that we can all, as a community, come together to help men and women when they need us in unfortunate situations like mine.

I have hope that people united can pull together marvellous things and now my family needs your help. With just 1 dollar, 1 euro or whatever you can afford, please help me get back on my feet and try to make my dream come true: affording a house for my baby and my family.

This is real. It is me.
