LET ME START WITH THE STORY BEHIND THIS FUND RAISING

This is for my brother Kuya Reynold Suarez alias”KANO". We have known for years that he has a kidney problem along with his high sugar, so he took insulin injection before. His Creatinine is high too. Before lockdown, his creatinine level was only 4-5 although that is really high but his body is strong. He continues for his treatment and months goes by he has to go for his check up and lab tests. We thought there was an improvement because he became active by riding a bike as his exercise but we are surprised when his creatinine went up to level 8. We find ways how to improve his condition by searching, reading and found out that too much movement of muscles can elevate more creatinine levelbut on the other side of his being active helps to improve his blood sugar. Unfortunately, this month , January of 2021 ,his creatinine increased by 10 and his kidney function decreased which is only 10% .His doctor advised for dialysis and kidney transplant. We got a second opinion but sad to hear that the doctor's finding was the same to the first diagnosis. He is scheduled for the dialysis but the only solution to get him back to normal is to have a kidney transplant. Today, he had a fistula on his arm for dialysis. It will take 1-2 months before it can be used or mature. Then, all our siblings went for blood test to find who among us is a match to be his kidney donor. My sister Jovelyn Suarez is a match and willing to give her one kidney to save our brother’s life. Our main problem is the money to pay for the transplant that will cost almost 1.6 million. We cannot afford this expenses because of our status in life. Here in Philippines, we do not have free health care and we don’t have personal medical coverage too. Our everyday journey for the food to make sure that he gets the right nutrition is really a struggle but the most important thing is to consolidate this big amountso that my brother can undergo to his kidney transplant while there is still time to save his life. We have to do our best, be strong, think positive and hope that God will touch your heart to help my brother.. This is a big storm and a big challenge in our family. My brother is 40 and has wife with 3 small children ages 8, 4 and 7 months. I hope you help my brother to survive and not to let his children lost their dad at their young age. This will be a big traumatic for them and hard to accept.

If only the operation will not cost more than a million, our family will not ask this much to you guys but sorry we have to do this because we really need your help to save my brother’s life. ..
