For a Beloved Teacher – Brain Tumor Surgery

“I trust God’s provision, this is His battle not mine kaya alam ko hindi niya ako pababayaan.” These are the brave words Irma sent to her friends as she shared her diagnosis.

As Irma was ready to ring in the New Year 2021, she was rushed to the hospital after she lost consciousness at their home. This was the first time this happened to her and they were praying for the best outcome. Sadly, it was confirmed that she has a golf ball size tumor in her brain (Falx meningioma) and will require an open surgery which the doctors have estimated will cost a minimum of P600,000. Her doctor stressed the need for immediate action.

Irma, a beloved college teacher and her husband do not have the resources to cover the entire amount of the operation. Irma’s and her husband’s insurance has been exhausted with her earlier hospitalization and battery of tests. They are now approaching local government and other institutions to ask for assistance. Though she remains hopeful, this has no guarantee of approval. Her family, co-teachers and friends are doing everything they can to raise additional funds. We believe that setting up this project is one of the ways that we can produce additional funds for her operation.
