My name is Álvaro, maybe you met me on the road, maybe you already knew me, maybe you didn't know me and you will never know me, but if you are reading this text it is because my fundraising campaign for this social project is, somehow, working out, since it got you here. About my journey, my texts, comments, photos and videos about it, this is not where you will find information. Here I will tell about this project and, you already know, ask for a donation of a value of your choice to impact the world's hunger. A 10-dollar donation certainly kills the hunger of more than one person, once a week: imagine 100, or a thousand, or ten thousands, my goal. It could help a lot. It is very pertinent, it is a very solid group, and it is an idea that needs to expand, and I explain why.

Cozinheiros do Bem - Food Fighters is a project created by chef Júlio Rita based in the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil, where I was born and where I am returning by bicycle, while raising funds. Once a week (for now) the project serves, under a viaduct in the city center, hundreds of meals for people in vulnerable situations. Porto Alegre is one of the capitals of Brazil, if not The capital of Brazil with the largest number of people and families living on the street. People die of coldness, diseases, victims of hatred and violence by the state and the population, and Cozinheiros weekly presents a simple but potent independent social-guerrilla action against one of the problems that plague these vulnerable people - not limited to those living on the streets - yet, in Brazil and in the world: hunger. And their mission is to do it with love (Ubuntu: research the meaning of this word).

Help me help Júlio and everyone from Cozinheiros do Bem ("Cooks of Goodness") to fight against this problem that undoubtedly never affected me, and that I am convinced that it never affected you, too, reader and possible donor. But not knowing what it is like have hunger does not prevent you from helping in this cause that is neither mine, nor Julius, nor any god's, nor any politician's: it is a human cause.
