I want to start up a food truck so there can be better faster places to eat in my small town. I also want to work with the local school district during the summer to offer free meals to children who may not always get a meal. There are only 5 places to get lunch in a town of 2500 people. Monday through Friday our population doubles because we have so much industry. Being in a food truck I could go right to the businesses and serve breakfast and lunch. Most of the time these employees have a 30 minute lunch break and this does not provide enough time for them to purchase lunch in most of the locations around town that offer food. I have a true passion for cooking. I currently have a cupcake business that I run out of my home, I have been operating this business for the last 4 years. I will incorporate my cupcake business into my food truck. I will also provide catering. There are several non-profit groups around town also that I would like to be able to help them with fundraising days where I will donate my profits to these groups. At first, I am going to be working the food truck (trailer) by myself until I can gain enough capital to pay a part-time employee. I am going to have a self-ordering kiosk for customers to place their order on-site then it will get dispatched to my order screen inside the trailer. Once I have the order ready it will get dispatched to my register where the customer will have the option to pay with cash or credit card. This system will take a lot of time and a little bit of money to incorporate but in the end it will help reduce order error and will streamline the process to help customers get their food faster. I will have a regular menu that runs daily; items included in this menu will be tacos, sandwiches, and quick grab lunches. I will also have a weekly special that will be a ready-made dish that is a scoop and go, such as lasagna, ham and scalloped potatoes and many others. I will offer entrees, quick snacks, desserts and drinks.

I need start-up money to help get financing through the bank. I will use this money to purchase equipment needed to modify my trailer for food prep. I will need to purchase a stove, ovens, fridge, and freezer, make table, and a steam table, along with other equipment.I will also have to pay for health inspections and licenses to operate in certain locations.
