Campaign Story
Most of us have seen heartbreaking images from Palestine. The suffering people there are increasingly isolated by the Israeli blockade. They live in fear of bombardment and attacks, even on hospitals, schools and civilian houses, which are frequently demolished by Israeli forces. Food and even milk for babies, is in very short supply and life for many people is virtually intolerable. Wonderful humanitarian activists, like my friend Amal, are reporting the news on the daily life of Gaza people .
In the Gaza Strip, where more than two million people have been living under occupation and siege for years, thousands of families are now living in absolute poverty and every year which passes sees poverty increasing. Volunteers, like Amal, desperately need help from caring people outside Gaza. They prepare foods baskets and distribute them to poor families in the Gaza strip.
The Goal of this campaign is to help the largest number of poor families in Gaza as possible.
The cost of a food basket is $35 and is enough for a large family for two weeks .
The food basket contains basic items such as sugar, tea, rice, oil, milk, cheese, vegetables, lentils and beans, canned meat, pasta, and other things. With your help and support, they will be able to help a large number of needy families in Gaza.
Thank you
