Food Packages for Local People in Need in ArugamBay

“Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world.”

After our successful mission providing 75 food packages to people in need, we figured there is still many more families that are going to bed with empty stomachs.

That’s why we decided to start a second fundraising campaign so we can distribute food to the families that we couldn’t reach the last time.

A lot families desperately asked us for our help while we were distributing the food packages on the street. It was a really emotional situation for all of us that’s why we would love to help out in any way we can.

For your information:

The People in Sri Lanka have been hit extremely hard by COVID19. Most of the people have lost their jobs and income due to the lack of tourism, and the recurring lockdowns have made times hard.

Many people are struggling to cover basic costs and put food on the table for their families. Our plan is to provide food packages (rice, dhal, other staple dry rations, Fruit & Vege) to the people in the Arugam Bay village Area (East Coast Sri Lanka).

For our second batch of deliveries our goal is to provide as many packages as possible with the help and advice of locals, fairly and equally, and sensitive to local culturecustoms.

Your donations will go directly towards alleviating the pressure on these families, and extending this support as long as possible.
