Today my dad and I drove to the supermarket to get some groceries and noticed a large group of men waiting outside for jobs. In normal times, this is their normal way of earning a living, they wait by the side of the road every morning for building companies and private people who need extra hands for building or gardening for the day to give them a job.
We went home and prepared FOOD packages for them, and when we came back, they literally sprinted toward us because they were so desperate for food. We didn't have enough to give them each their own, and without even saying a word, they all automatically tore their bread and meat in half and shared with the rest of the people.
I was so sad to see them all waiting there, ready for work, with their backpacks that were empty of food for the day or any water. And yet they continue to show up, in the hope that someone may need them.
As jobs are limited and restricted, FOOD is what they need. I prepare food packages of bread and meat. It’s small, but it’s at least a meal for them or for them to take home to share with their families.
If you have any spare change to give to this cause, that would be much appreciated. The more we receive, the more FOOD packages I will make and hand out to those in need.
Thank you VERY VERY much for even the smallest contribution.
