Hope you Hopeless: Have you ever felt about the quote that “A hungry man can’t see right or wrong. He just sees food”. No! I am not talking about hearing; it is about feeling, because no matter what, you will never understand the pain, until you’re the one feeling it.
The region with the greatest number of hungry people is Asia and the Pacific. A survey claims that majority among us believe ‘poverty’ to be the cause of hunger. While it is a well-known fact that there is enough food in this world to feed every single human being.
The availability of food is a basic human right and is critical to the well-being of everyone. Unfortunately, throughout Europe there are people who cannot provide adequate food for themselves or their families. This problem is not caused by a shortage of food. The most common reason why people cannot feed themselves is poverty.
Our food drive plan is consist of three phases; 1: Pick a local group that need food that might be faith-based organizations, senior citizen centers, schools, hospitals, orphanages etc. 2: Create fundraising campaign to raise funds through personal references, organizing events such as Sufi nights, sponsorship, and by tickets. 3: food purchasing and distribution.
We have Plan B and C to expand this ocean by establishing an institute to develop skills of unskilled women and so on.
The first milestone of our food drive is ready to organize and at this time we are on 2nd phase that was fund raising.
What we eat deserves the policy of sharing — “Food for one is enough for two and food for two is enough for three and food for three is enough for four.” This faith preaches that no one has too little that cannot be shared.
Let’s join us and become a part of this journey.
