Food and Health Packs for Indigent Pinoys

As of now, the whole Luzon has been placed in Enhanced Community Quarantine due to the rising number of CoVID-19 cases. As a result, many Filipino workers have been displaced due to the sudden shutting down of businesses and establishments. Those especially being affected by this work stoppage are tricycle, jeepney, and UV Express Drivers; street vendors, indigent elders, etc. Most of those working in these industries earn their wages on a “no work-no pay” basis. As such, many are suddenly realizing a scarcity of basic resources such as food and medicine. These people do not typically have social benefits or government subsidies; therefore, we would like to help them through this extremely difficult time until things get back to normal again.

Our small charity- Basket of Winning Hearts (BOWH) has successfully provided support to some of indigent children/family in need. With the current circumstances, we would now like to initiate fund raising for another cause which is to help the affected poor Pinoys of this CoVID-19 crisis. We will do so by providing food and health packs to the aforementioned at-risk groups. Depending on the amount gathered, including a personal pledge from our Founder, our initial beneficiaries would be those in especially critical conditions, namely those in the small Barangays around Luzon. God willing, we will be able to gather enough donations that we will be able to expand the blessings to additional areas.

We are humbly knocking on your kind hearts for financial help so that we can realize our goal and purpose, which is to help those most direly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. We will be transparent with all the proceeds and expenses that your donations will go to by posting our expense tallies and receipts.
