Fundraising project for an international flower stand on Aoi Shouta's Live Tour 2019: WONDER lab. I (Won.I)

Hello everyone! We're starting a new flower stand project, this time, for Shoutan's live tour early next year!

We have deecided to again show him the support he has overseas, that we, his international fans, are also here cheering for him from outside Japan. He's slowly getting aware that he has lots of fans overseas, so to show him our love further, we want continue sending international flower stands for him.

This time, we want to make a really impactful flower stand, and we want it to stand out a lot (an extra daitenshi deserves an extra flower stand LOL). Also it's a major concert tour after not having one the previous year, which we can expect will be greater, more exciting than the previous live concerts. Hence, we have estimated the target to amount for the flower stand at JPY 65k, which is around US$650. We will be including balloons and a bigger illustration this time, courtesy of Mol (Twitter: @shoutattsun).

For general information about flower stands, you can refer to the 5xT flower stand campaign page here.

Since we want to create such a flower stand, and also taking into consideration the fees that this platform takes from the donations, we set the goal to $700 USD. The 5xT flower stand costed JPY 50k, hence we are estimating around JPY 60-65k as the price of the design we have in mind. Besides the flowers, and the illustration, we will also be requesting for balloons to be attached to it, which made us come up to the said estimate of the stand price.

As for the design, Mol has provided a rough sketch of it below, but to explain we will be including Shoutan illustration of course, surrounded by a maximum of 6 chibi illustrations of him (or his recent/ most popular characters) wearing different national costumes of the donors' countries. Should we end up exceeding 6 countries, we will be tallying the top 6 countries with most donors donating more than PHP1200 (US$20-22) and Mol will draw those. Do not fear though, as even if there is only 1 person in a country, we will still include your country together with your name as well on the name board if you donate PHP600 and above (roughly US$10).

Flower Stand general layout:

Additional details that will be included on the design will be that the illustration will depict Shoutan's visuals for Won.I, including the chibis, riding on a "hot air balloon", with the flowers below it arranged as if they're clouds around him, watching over and protecting us, his fans, which has been always one of his greatest wishes. Since drawing him as an angel with wings seemed to be too common, Mol thought it would be a more unique idea to depict him flying through a hot air balloon. Thus the need for the balloons. Rough sketch of the illustration will be provided by Mol one of these days.

Why are the donation prices now in PHP?

From our previous experience with the last campaign, Paypal also deducted fees on top of the GGF fees due to exchange rates. Since one of the campaign organizers' Paypal account is in the Philippines, the default currency which is in PHP had to do conversions that incurred fees. Having it in PHP currency might lessen the fees that Paypal deducts for every donation.

For everyone's reference though, as of October 2018 USD$1.00 is roughly PHP53-55.00. Below are the rough estimates to US$ using Paypal conversions:

  • PHP 600 = US$10-12
  • PHP 1200 = US$ 20-21
  • PHP 1500 = US$25-26
  • PHP 2000 = US$35-37
  • PHP 3000 = US$53-55
  • PHP 5500 = US$97-100

Please note that the above conversions are just estimates and are not exact, hence could be different but should give everyone an idea. It depends as well with your local currency conversions, and Paypal fees which we're not sure how Paypal calculates.

Will there be any physical rewards? Also what about non-physical rewards?

Yes, there will be physical rewards (see the rewards section), and will be limited, but we added one new physical reward:

  • Live Pamphlet = limited to one person only. This will also guarantee one slot for the chibi illustrations. First come first serve. This will be the highest tier for the rewards list this time around.

As for the non-physical rewards, it will start at PHP 600 (US$10-12) which will already include your name and country to be shown in the name board. The second tier of non-physical rewards at PHP1200 (US$20-22) will include one tally vote for your country to be included in the chibi illustrations. The physical rewards will have both these non-physical rewards inclusive as well. Since we need the country information for the donors, we require to include shipping address for non-physical rewards as well. If you do not prefer to disclose your full name and shipping address, you can just input your alias for first/last name, and just the country information is required. Just put dummy information for the rest. However for physical rewards please do include your full shipping address so we can ship your rewards to you via mail.

Will there be a deadline for the donations?

We will need to place the order for flower stand at least a month before the live concert, which is most probably last week of December 2018. But we can send the illustrations two to three weeks prior to the event. We will keep this campaign open until mid January (around January 20), but will close the second tier of nonphysical rewards by January 4, 2019 to give Mol time to sketch the chibis.

What if we don't reach the goal?

We will then downgrade the design to just include the illustration and flowers, leaving out the balloons. This will cost about JPY50-55K (US$500-550). If we still can't achieve that amount, we will save these funds and use it for his next major event, probably for the summer fanclub event for 2019, or the next WonderLab. Please do rest assure we will not be profitting from this campaign, as all the funds will go to the flower stand first and foremost, and the fees of shipping it from florist to the venue. If we go over the goal, we might request for additional flowers to beautify it, or cover the costs for the rewards and international shipping. The organizers, Aoi and Mol will also be donating themselves to make sure we achieve the goal amount!

Wait, this is a multi-venue tour right, so where will the flower stand be sent then?

It will be sent on the Tokyo live, February 9, 2019, in Musashino Forest Sports Plaza. Even though this is not the finale stage, this is the biggest venue and most probably all flower stands will be sent there instead of in Osaka. On the day of the live, we will be posting pictures of the flower stand on the venue on Twitter, as well as on the Updates section of this campaign page.

Will we be able to receive updates on this campaign?

We will be posting major updates on the Updates section of this campaign page. We will also post updates on this Twitter account: @AS_flowerstand, so you can also follow it for updates. In case we need to contact donors separately for an inquiry, we will be sending an email through the project email address ([email protected]) to your listed email address once you check out when donating. So please make sure to include your email address when checking out especially if you're a donor eligible for physical rewards!

What are the payment options for our donations?

We accept donations through PayPal or credit card. Once you completed entering your information it will ask to login to your PayPal account or enter your credit card info. Don't worry though about your credit card info as it still will go through the secure channels of PayPal, it's just an option to if you don't have a PayPal account. So rest assured transactions will be secure.

I want to support Shouta but I don't have a lot of money right now and it's hard for me to donate...

Don't worry about not being able to donate a big sum of money! If you can't donate anything you can still be a big support to everyone! Let's share information about this project wherever we can! If you have any social media (like Twitter), or if you have friends you like Aoi Shouta or you know a Facebook fan-page spread the word! One person can't do anything but together we can create miracles!

Who are running this project? Can I ask about...?

We are Aoi and Mol, with Klecks helping us with translations etc., to communicate with the florists. If you have further inquiries besides the ones we have written above, feel free to mention us on Twitter our project twitter @AS_flowerstand or send us a DM! You can also reach us through our personal Twitter accounts below:

You can also send us an email at [email protected].

We hope we can all reach the goal once more and show our Angel how much love his fans have for him not just in Japan but overseas as well!

  • My dearest friend Tessa Mae Cale has been sick for years now with no proper diagnosis. She’s been in and out of the hospital and every time, she’s being told/diagnosed with different illness which extremely affects her and her family. She has been recently diagnosed with Ovarian cancer and now needs to undergo Chemotherapy. Despite of the different illnesses she’s been through these past years, Tessa continued to be a happy and bubbly lady that I’ve known her to be. She always try to be optimistic in every situation as she still has so many things she’d like to do. Due to years of repeatedly being admitted to the hospital, Tessa and her family have been financially challenged. They have tried seeking financial help from government agencies but no luck so far. If you could support her by making a donation and then sharing with your network, we would greatly appreciate it. I know that money can be tight, so please know any amount would definitely help her with her therapy. Please let me know if you have any questions and I’ll be happy to answer them.

  • I am a father of 3 beautiful children. I have a 5 year old son, 3 year old daughter and 8 month old son. My eldest son KEITH was diagnosed of PRIMARY IMMUNODEFICIENCY THAT WARRANTS A LIFETIME TREATMENT through MONTHLY IMMUNOGLOBULIN (IVIg) INFUSION that is costly to our family. I am the carer of my kids and my partner is the one working for us. We are afraid to that our 8month old baby has early signs of having the same illness. The doctor’s quotation is around PHP 40,000 monthly for his infusion and we cannot afford it. We beg you to please help our son to live longer and have a normal life as his childhood was spent in the hospital. Any amount is highly appreciated as it is a big help for my son. God bless you all. Thanks in advance for your kindness
