Florida Swimming Club

Florida Swimming is a club that has been around since 1925, and serviced many generations of swimmers in the West Rand Area. COVID19 has dealt the aquatics community in general quite a blow, with most swimming coaches and learn to swim teachers being without any income since March, and unfortunately still no foreseeable date for us to resume our teaching and coaching.

Our coaching and teaching team are incredible individuals, who are passionate and committed to the goals and dreams of others. We serve our members to the best of our ability and have done so, in some cases, for decades.

We need to support them now, so that we can keep them in this industry and show them the appreciation for their efforts and dedication to our youth.

Some of our swimming families have also suffered greatly at the hands of COVID. SSA has stated that only swimmers and coaches who are registered with SSA for the upcoming season will be allocated permits to swim, when we are given the green light to resume. Unfortunately there are families who are just not able to fit R1590.00 bill in order to get registered, and therefore will not be able to get the permits required to continue training.

We are calling on community support to keep our swimming club and her members in play, so that future generations can also benefit from the input and efforts of this club and her coaches and teachers.
