Hi all! This page initially dedicated to raising funds to help my husband Floremar's medication. I am asking your good heart to take time to read his story and his battle to fight cancer.

It all started early this year, it was January 15, 2016 when he was hospitalized at New Era General Hospital due to high fever & cough. Diagnosis is Pneumonia and it was cured but the last round of his doctor said that his CBC needs to double check since his WBC (white blood cell) is so high, it was 85.5 then while the normal for male is only 10. So we are endorsed to a Hematologist, after seeing his blood smear and lab test, his doctor give her initial findings. I remember that day, how sad I am and the tears stared to burst after hearing the news that my husband is having Acute Leukemia. That is the moment that all my memories with my sister Merville flash backed. Her fight against the same sickness, the money involved during the treatment and her long stayed in the hospital. The longest period she stayed in the hospital is 6 months straight. I know all of those happenings and situation also possible to happen if my husband's treatment will start.

The next month, February 25 we are admitted to NKTI (National Kidney Transplant Institute) because he is having swollen lymph nodes in his neck, difficulty in breathing and unusual bleeding, such as frequent nosebleeds and bleeding from the gums. In short, all symptoms of AML started to show. This is the start of his treatment. After the BMA (Bone Marrow Aspiration) done, its now identified the type of his Leukemia is AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). Since treatment started he is 6 months on off the hospital. Then finally, month of July he reached his final chemotherapy treatment. We are so happy since the treatment has a positive response and it only took 3 sessions.

The medical expenses for 6 months is almost 1M, we sold some of our belongings, we have loans left & right, and we are still paying until now. We are so happy, lucky & blessed that after the treatment he is now back to his shape. Doing the things he loved, gaining his weight back and his hair started to grow.

But after only 5 months, after his monthly check up last Dec. 20, we heard the sad news again, he is having an early relapse meaning his Leukemia came back for only a short period of time. The cancer cells activated again and its growing rapidly. We thought that after his treatment we will now enjoy his company as we missed him so much. We saw the joy and the big smile showed on our children's face, saying thank you first to God's guidance, second to family & friends who supported us financially & emotionally. And at last he overcome all the pains and won the battle.

But unfortunately, now we need to start all over again, as doctor said he needs to undergo BMA again and chemotherapy but now he needs a stronger chemo drug as this is not available here in the Philippines and needs to orders outside the country. The chemo drug, this single drug cost 200 thousand pesos and the estimated money we need to start his treatment again is 500 thousands pesos, this includes all the expenses, blood transfusion, antibiotics, lab test and other drugs needed during his stay in the hospital. The amount needed is only for his initial hospitalization and does not includes his following chemotherapy session because we didn't know yet how many session he needs to finish it.

My heart breaks into pieces when I saw him crying at night, he wont show it in front of our kids as he wants to show them that he is a fighter and he is strong. He maybe strong outside but deep inside him he almost give up. I cried silently next to him because I saw how he struggles and fight over his life during his first treatment and now we will expect the worse as stronger chemo drug will be use. As much as I wanted to admit him immediately I don't have enough money for this treatment we are not ready yet for another medical expenses. As explained by the doctor that we will expect more expenses and much longer hospital stay, more blood needed, more antibiotics and more laboratory test.

I am asking your patience and kindness to please help me undergo thru this again. We thank you for all those who helped us already at first, but we are knocking again and we are asking humbly for your donations. This will help us a lot and we are thanking you in advance. He wants to fight again for his life, for our kids as he wanted to see them grow and will see as they succeed in their own lives.
