Floods took everything from fairy tale house

FLOODS TOOK EVERYTHING FROM FAIRY TALE HOUSE.

A fundraiser to help Matjaz rebuild his life.

My uncle was living in a gorgeous house in Rakovnik, a small village in the municipality of Medvode, Slovenija. It was a fairytale house surrounded by nature, always open for friends & family, for barbeques full of happy, smiling faces. He built all of it with his own hands. Everything, inside and outside, he was making himself, day by day for years. And then came a day that none of us will ever forget: 4.8.2023.

The River Sora came from nowhere and struck with enormous power. He managed to escape the surging water and saved his life. But not his beloved house & ranch. In a matter of minutes everything was under water. The force of nature and the river destroyed everything. He will never again have the home he designed, created and worked on for so many years.

We cannot return his dream home, but with some help we can show that sharing is caring, and bring my uncle some hope to rebuild his life and his home.

POPLAVA IZ PRAVLJIČNE HIŠE ODNESLA VSE.

Moj stric je živel v čudoviti hiši na Rakovniku, majhni vasici v občini Medvode, Slovenija. Pravljična hiška sredi narave je bila vedno dobrodošla za prijatelje, družino, za piknike, vesele sijoče obraze,... Vse detajle znotraj in okoli ranča je iz dneva v dan ustvarjal z lastnimi rokami. Do dneva, ki ga ne bomo nikoli pozabili. 4.8.2023. Reka Sora je prišla od nikoder in udarila z ogromno močjo. Uspelo mu je, da si je zavaroval življenje, se rešil pogoltne Sore. Ni pa uspel rešit njegovega čudovitega ranča in hiše. Nekaj minut in vse je bilo pod vodo. Moč narave in reke je dodobra vzela in uničila vse.

Ranča, za katerega je živel, mu ne moremo vrniti. A z nekaj podpore lahko pokažemo in mu vlijemo upanje v nov začetek.
