Linke Hofmann Railcar overhaul

Linke Hofmann constructed at 1937 and it's the only one metric railcar saved in the world. We are trying hard to keep it active and safe but right now is not working, after theft of engine materials. Our volunteers cannot afford the repair cost and any donation from you, always aiding towards achieving the goal.

### About Us ###

Solely relying on volunteering, we strive to maintain a stretch of track belonging to the former Thessaly Railway network, between Velestino and Palaiofarsalos stations in operating condition. Τhe base of operations was initially Velestino station, as the area around it featured headquarters, a small depot and a turntable, infrastructure necessary for the team’s purpose. Up until today, works are focused on tasks such as trains meintenance, replacing aging sleepers, restoring the loading gauge and replacing ballast along the tracks, all to ensure safe museum railway vehicles operation.
