Fix My Home

Hello, I have a dilemna.  In 2007 when I divorced I decided to keep my home because my ex-husband promised to help me fix it ip.  It was a fixer-upper when we first bought it and somehow never got fixed while we were married.  I bought him out for $50,000. with the verbal promise that he would help and so far, 7 years later my house is falling apart and I now know it was a mistake to make that agreement. My current situation is that I need to makesome home improvements so that my daughter and I can be comfortable and enjoy our home.  It has been difficult because each time I put a little bit of money together to start a project, some thing else breaks(i.e. a new $5000.00 furnace in January.  Along with this, I need a new car to get back and forth to work(my old one is dying) and i constantly struggle with what to do or pay next.  I am hard working, have a decent job, but its just been hard keeping up with current obligations, the house, etc.  My credit is sketchy right now, because I was laid off for a 6 months last year, and some of my bills fell behind as you can imagine.  I'm not looking for a million bucks or to be greedy.  I just need some assistance to fix my house up, and with my salary, i will slowly get back on my feet. I have always been a good member of my community, helping and mentoring children, and various other activities through-out my career.  Please help in whatever way you can.  Thanking you in advance.
