My name is Johnny Benson I am a United States Veteran, sports coach and loving father & husband.
My wife (Angel) suffers from a debilitating disease called Multiple Sclerosis. Some days she can do fun things, and other days she can't get out of bed. I spend the nights up, massaging her legs because they hurt or are crawling, getting her medicines and trying to comfort her from the the environments we would consider ideal. (Too hot, too cold, fan speed on too high or too low) The littlest thing about MS triggers symptoms that make it a lot of the time unbearable. Headaches, body aches, chills. If I could explain this to someone that is not familiar with the disease, imagine having the flu every day of your life.
Since my wife was diagnosed over 7 years ago, I have feverishly looked for a cure for her disease. Doctor after doctor prescribed pharmaceutical and has in itself taken my wife's quality of life. We have three children. Our Son Ian (10) our oldest daughter Raiann (8) and our youngest Maddison (6).
I am not the type of person that begs for support, but today I am asking for assistance.
There is a new treatment for MS that has a 95% success rate is stopping the disease.
The treatment is called "Autologous" stem-cell transplantation (please stop and read below)
**NOTE** Autologous the cell transplant of the patient and NOT from aborted fetuses. They are harvested from the "love handles" (wife said she has plenty to harvest from) and/or her bone marrow.
**My wife refused to consider the treatment until we learned about this type of cell transplant**
60% of the patients treated had stopped receiving disability insurance and returned to their occupations!
According to research, adipose(fat)-derived stem cells from the patient are found to be excellent candidates for Multiple Sclerosis for two main reasons:
- Known for their potency, adipose stem cells have been shown in research studies to repair damaged neurons and to regenerate lost myelin.
- Adipose stem cells contain high concentrations of beneficial components with anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties and have the potential to suppress inflammatory reactions and slow inflammation.
I found a clinic here in our state of Arizona that does her therapy and with great success. I researched it and even though my wife has 3 insurances, they wont cover the procedures. They say there are not enough studies.... even though it has been tested in Australia, Canada and other countries with amazing results. (I feel its because it cures the disease).
From a capitol standpoint, I just can not afford this treatment and it shames me that I can't. Her being disabled and I am holding down a family of five, it would take twenty years to save it up.
Being a Veteran I have never accepted a free cup of coffee for my service and this is a huge pill for me to swallow as I type this. With that being said, This will be a prayer answered for my wife and our family as my wife could see the kids grow up, graduate, & start their lives and their milestones... Not in a wheelchair from a in-house disability care facility, but through her eyes and in person.
I respectfully request your help to save my Angel and give her a quality of life I can't afford short of hitting the lottery. Even the littlest donation would help. If you can't donate please take the time to share this with folks that might be able to.
I have great credit, I pay my bills, never late. I believe a man can only die with his name and the mark he left on this earth. Please help my get my wife this treatment I just can not afford.
Thank you for your very valuable time.
May you and yours be very blessed.
Johnny Benson USN
