One of the POOREST sector in the Philippines belongs to the fisherfolk / fishing sector, although they are blessed to be neighbors with the worlds most abundant resource they are still struggling to fend for their daily needs.

IMAGINE! An 83 year old man fishing at 5:00 in the morning boarding his D.I.Y boat (made of plastic drum) and fishes (only) 1 kilo of tilapia a day.

In order to address their needs, both national (thru BFAR V) and the local government of Buhi took effort in forming an organization (comprise of small-scale fisherman). "Tilapyang Buhinon Organization" is an organization I am working with for a year now. They have been provided with subsidies from BFAR V such as Gill nets, boat engines, and non-motorized boat, but it isn't enough to provide their children good education, food and other basic necessities.

Working with them for more than a year showed me that they are dedicated and hard-working. Having the same fishION (vision) with one-another (to strengthen and empower the members of the organization) we've come up with ideas to earn money as an organization and them individually.

Sadly, dreams does not come with a cost. The organization lack funds and technical support to make all their dreams ofFISHal.....

Now here comes you! the most amazing creature on the planet.

To start their organization working, WE NEED YOU (financially or technically). Any donations, big or small will be FINtastic. Your donations will be used to start-off livelihood programs/projects such as fish processing and (hopefully) fish feeds formulation on the latter.

We are also open for any ideas/experiences you may have to make our organization working.
