Campaign Story
Islanders Centre is a community based organization in Kenya which operates a Community charity School producing huge social impact for needy children and their families in Rusinga Island within Lake Victoria Kenya and its environments through free education, healthcare and welfare. .http://childhopeacademy.webs.com/
The project provide safety, hope, love, education, protection and inner healing to children who have lost their homes, been sexually abused, orphaned due to AIDS/HIV and those living in abject poverty. Everything the project does is for children and their families. We offer answers to some of the difficulties they face. To run the project successfully, the project needs to start an Income Generating Activity that shall generate profit to meet the daily expenses of the project like feeding the poor children, providing basic needs to the poor community members.
Islanders Centre now wants to build a fish caging project. The Startup cost of building materials, tilapia fingerlings and food for two cage is $3500 that shall hold 1500 Tillapia. The cages will conservatively bring in a net profit of $3,000 every six months. This will allow the program to purchase another round food and fingerlings for each cage. The cages are made totally of plastic and are built to last. Essentially, the project are giving Islanders families income for life.
The implementation of fish farming for families in Rusinga Island will drastically change their income levels and thus their purchasing power for education, stable food sources, healthcare, and shelter. Please join us and donate so we can uplift the living standard of the poor families and children together.
