First Home receives no Government funding. As an industry charity we are supported by companies and individuals within the construction and property sector.First Home Patrons commit to making an annual contribution for a minimum of three years. These donations cover the core running costs of the charity and supports projects. This allows First Home to channel 100% of all donations received from our fundraising events directly into helping projects that support individuals damaged by the experiences of natural desasters and poorverty.Our Patron companies are the lifeblood of First Home and we are very grateful for their loyal and generous support.First Home focuses on projects that help single homeless and single mothers and above. First Home has decided to focus on this specific group of people in need as they are not entitled to receive any statutory assistance from the local authority and are therefore extremely vulnerable.Well designed and expertly built environments have a positive effect on how we feel and behave and this is no different for people who are homeless. Every year First Home helps a large number of homelessness families throughout the UK refurbish and develop their homes:Providing on-site professional expertiseSourcing material free of charge from our Patron and supporting companiesAwarding homes to protect from winterThe result is that the homeless people need can be refurbished and developed to a much higher standard than would otherwise be possible.If you would like to help the work of First Home either by making a one-off donation or in a planned way by making a small regular standing order to First Home, every penny of your gift will go directly to help homeless people and not a penny of it will be spent on administration.Thank you for everything you do to support First Home and help homeless people.
