I am a Lithuanian explorer (this is my website: One Explore Martynas Dagys)
Goal of the campaign: a 4000 km (2500 mi) bike ride from Australia's eastern coast to the western (Sydney through Melbourne to Perth across countless horizons in desert).
Torn wildlife, harmed ecosystem, thousands of breeds gone, alpine and mountain ash trees extensively burned out., 12.5 million acres of land (territory the size of Denmark and Netherlands) looking like a nuclear blast site...
I've postponed prior months planned cycling expedition around Iceland and now am giving everything at my disposal to prepare for the sole cycling, "The Fire Ride: Aid for Australia" in May 2020. This particular ride will reveal itself only after the very last mile with me hopefully alive under the hot southern sun on a bike with a gallon of water and a tent on my shoulders. The goal remains the same: to raise funds for the wildlife restoration and to help these processes asap.
I am currently working on negotiating the key points of this challenge with potential sponsors, who shall financially support my initiative. Such procedures for a non-celebrity type of person may usually take at least half a year, including all the thorough planning and communication - half a year at best - however this time, time is not on anyone's target.
I have asked for the support from public figures, fellow colleagues, embassies to make this campaign at least somewhat more viral and to be heard of.
Let help ourselves to cherish our planet just as our ancestors did.
Blessings to all directly related to the ongoing events of global warming, which relates to all of us.
Take care. Stay safe and healthy.
