Fire Gear Needed

I am raising funds for the Elysium 991 community response members, whom I am part of. Elysium 911 has was started 5 years ago in Elysium on the KZN South Coast. We are a group of volunteers assisting our community with fire fighting, medical calls and crime related incidents.

In times of emergency it takes the emergency services 25 minutes plus to respond to our area, this delay is response could mean the difference between life and death or a house being saved or completely destroyed. We are privileged to have a retired fire fight in our community who is willing to assist and has already saved one house from being gutted by fire. We are raising money to purchase Structural Fire Fights Protective Equipment. A Fire Suite costs R 18 500.00 (we have been offered one for a discounted price of R 6 500), Fire Helmet, Fire Boots, Fire Gloves and Flash Hood will cost another R 9 170.00, that is a total of R 15 670.00 we are looking to raise.

Raising this money will mean the when our voluntary fire fighters respond to a fire they will have the proper protective equipment to be able top enter a burning building to search for victims are fight the fire safely.
